App Privacy Policy

What the DailyJob.pk mobile app can access on your phone, what it actually uses, and how to delete your account from inside the app.

Last updated 18 Sep 2026 Applies to DailyJob.pk

The DailyJob.pk app puts the Career Feed in your pocket, and a phone knows more about you than a browser does. This notice explains what the app can access, what it actually uses, and how to leave cleanly if you ever want to. It supplements our main Privacy Policy, which continues to apply to your account. It is issued by DailyJob.pk and takes effect on September 18, 2026.

Permissions the app asks for

Each permission is requested only when you first use the feature that needs it, and the app keeps working if you say no.

Notifications

Used to deliver application updates, interview invitations, Smart Picks and alerts you subscribed to. Decline and you will still see everything inside the app; you just will not be nudged.

Storage and photos

Used when you attach an existing resume from your phone, upload a profile photo, or save a Resume Lab PDF to your device. We read only the file you pick; we do not scan your gallery or documents folder.

Camera

Used only if you choose to take a profile photo or photograph a document directly rather than picking one from storage. The camera is never opened in the background.

The app does not request your contacts, precise location, microphone or call logs. City-based matching uses the city on your profile, not GPS.

Push notifications

When you allow notifications, the app registers a push token with the notification service of your phone maker. That token identifies the app installation, not you personally, and we store it alongside your account so we know where to send messages. Categories can be switched on or off individually under Notifications in My Journey. Uninstalling the app invalidates the token.

Device identifiers and analytics

The app sends us a random installation identifier, the app version, your operating system version and device model. We use these to fix bugs that affect particular phones and to sign you out everywhere if you report a lost device. Crash reports contain a technical trace of what the app was doing when it failed; they do not include the contents of your resume or messages. Usage analytics are aggregated: we learn that many people open the Career Feed in the morning, not what one particular person read. We do not use the advertising identifier of your device for ad targeting.

What stays on your phone

To keep the app fast on patchy connections, it keeps a local copy of your recent feed, saved opportunities and draft resumes. This cache lives in the app's private storage area and is removed when you sign out or uninstall.

Deleting your account from inside the app

You do not have to email anyone or visit the website to leave.

  1. Open My Journey and tap Settings.
  2. Choose Delete Account and read what will be removed.
  3. Confirm with the one-time code we send to your email or phone.

Your profile, resumes, saved roles and notification tokens are removed within thirty days. Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices for the Advantage Pass, are retained for the statutory period only. Workplaces that already received an application keep their copy. If you prefer, the same request can be sent to support@dailyjob.pk.

Children

The app is intended for adults and requires users to be 18 or older, consistent with our website. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and we close accounts that turn out to belong to minors.

Questions
