Cookie Policy
An honest list of the cookies DailyJob.pk sets, what each one is for, how long it lasts and how to switch the optional ones off.
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser so that it can remember you between pages and visits. DailyJob.pk uses a modest number of them, and this page explains each one honestly. It forms part of our Privacy Policy and takes effect on September 18, 2026.
What a cookie actually does
When you sign in, a cookie is what keeps you signed in as you move from the Career Feed to a role and back. When you switch the site to dark mode or choose Lahore as your city, a cookie remembers that choice. Some cookies are set by us; a few are set by tools we use, such as analytics. Cookies cannot read your files, install software or see your resume.
The cookies we set
Essential
These keep the platform working: your login session, the security token that protects forms from forgery, and a flag that records your cookie choices. Without them you cannot sign in or apply. They are always on.
Preferences
These remember choices such as language, theme, your last-used city filter and whether you dismissed a banner. They make the site feel like yours; removing them simply resets those choices.
Analytics
Analytics cookies help us understand, in aggregate, which parts of the Career Feed are read, where searches lead and which pages load slowly. Reports are anonymised and we do not use them to build a profile of you. You can decline these in the cookie banner.
Advertising
Where third-party advertising appears on DailyJob.pk, the ad network may set a cookie to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure whether it was viewed. We do not pass your profile or resume to advertisers. These cookies stay off until you accept them. Our Advertising Policy explains how ads are labelled.
Cookies set by other companies
Embedded content, such as a video in a Career Journal article or a map on a workplace page, may set cookies from the provider of that content. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policy. We keep embeds to a minimum for exactly this reason.
How long they last
Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Login cookies last up to thirty days if you tick "remember me". Preference and analytics cookies last up to twelve months. You can see the expiry of each cookie in your browser's developer tools.
Your choices
- Use the banner shown on your first visit to accept or decline non-essential cookies; you can reopen it from the footer at any time.
- Delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in from working.
- The mobile app does not use browser cookies; the App Privacy Policy explains what it uses instead.
Changes and contact
If we add a new category of cookie we will update this page and ask for your consent again where required. Questions go to support@dailyjob.pk.
