Community Guidelines

DailyJob.pk works because people treat one another well: candidates and workplaces, mentors and first-timers, readers and writers in the Career Journal. These guidelines describe the behaviour we expect from everyone in messages, applications, interviews arranged through the platform, and comments. They apply from September 18, 2026 and are enforced by DailyJob.pk alongside the Terms of Service.

The spirit of the place

Looking for work can be stressful, and hiring can be exhausting. We ask everyone to remember that the person on the other side of the screen is doing something difficult, and to treat them the way they would want to be treated in a Lahore interview room or a Karachi office lobby: politely, promptly and honestly.

Be real

• Use your real name and, for workplaces, your real registered business name.
• Describe yourself and your roles as they are, not as you wish they were.
• Do not impersonate a workplace, a recruiter, DailyJob.pk staff or another candidate.

Be respectful

• Messages should be about the role or the hiring process. No romantic advances, no personal questions unrelated to the work.
• Reply when you say you will. Workplaces: tell candidates when a role closes. Candidates: tell workplaces if you accept another offer.
• Disagreement is fine; insults, threats and harassment are not.
• Respect people's time by arriving for interviews you agreed to, or cancelling in advance.

Keep it clean

The following are never welcome anywhere on DailyJob.pk:

• Hate speech or slurs directed at any religion, sect, ethnicity, gender, disability or region.
• Sexual content, requests for photographs, or comments about appearance.
• Threats, intimidation, blackmail or publishing someone's private details.
• Spam, chain messages, unsolicited sales pitches or links to unrelated products.
• Any request for money from a candidate, for any reason.
• Sharing another person's contact details, CNIC or documents without consent.

Protect each other

If a message feels wrong, trust that feeling. Do not share bank details, one-time codes or original documents through chat. Report suspicious behaviour through the Report Abuse page; the person reported is never told who reported them. Our Safety Center lists the warning signs we see most often in Pakistan.

Career Journal comments

Comments on Career Journal articles should add something: a question, an experience, a correction. We remove comments that are off-topic, promotional or unkind, and we may close comments on an article that attracts abuse.

What happens when the guidelines are broken

Depending on severity, we may warn, hide content, restrict messaging, suspend or permanently remove an account. Threats, harassment and fee demands lead to immediate removal, and where a crime may have been committed we cooperate with law-enforcement agencies in Pakistan.
