Privacy Policy
What DailyJob.pk collects as you explore opportunities, why we use it, where it travels when you apply, and how you stay in control.
Every career story on DailyJob.pk begins with a little trust. You tell us where you have worked and where you want to go; we use that to put the right opportunities in front of you. This policy explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, and how you stay in control. Issued by DailyJob.pk, it covers https://www.dailyjob.pk and our mobile app and takes effect on September 18, 2026.
The short version
- We collect what you give us (profile, resume, applications) and what your device tells us.
- We use it to run the marketplace, match you with roles and keep the platform safe; we never sell it.
- You can view, correct, download or delete your data at any time, and you must be 18 or older to hold an account.
What we gather as you go
Details you hand us
At registration we ask for your name, email address and mobile number, and verify one with a one-time code. Your profile may add city, education, work history, skills, expected salary, a photo and a short introduction. Resume Lab stores every resume you draft or upload, including the text inside uploaded files. Each application is recorded with the role, workplace, date, cover note and attached resume, and conversations with support or with a workplace are kept too.
Details your device leaves behind
We automatically receive technical information: IP address, browser or app version, operating system, screen size, pages opened and time spent. The mobile app also sends a device identifier and, if you allow it, a push notification token. Cookies handle sign-in, preferences and measurement; our Cookie Policy lists them. Aggregated analytics show which opportunities are popular and where people get stuck, so we can improve the Career Feed.
Why we use it
- To run the marketplace: your account, applications in My Journey, and review from the Hiring Desk.
- To make Smart Picks smarter: skills, city and history shape the roles and alerts we suggest.
- To keep everyone safe: spotting fake workplaces, duplicate accounts, scams and abuse.
- To bill Memberships: recording bank transfers and invoicing the Advantage Pass and Hiring Desk plans.
- To stay in touch: confirmations, interview invitations, alerts you chose and Career Journal digests.
- To meet legal duties: lawful requests and records the law requires.
Where your details travel
When you apply to a workplace
Applying is the main moment your data leaves us. The workplace receives your profile, attached resume and cover note, and may contact you by phone, email or WhatsApp. Workplaces accept our Employer Terms, which limit them to using your details for that hiring decision alone. Until you apply, workplaces see only what you have chosen to make discoverable, and you can hide your profile from talent search in Settings.
Service partners and the law
A few providers handle hosting, email and SMS delivery, WhatsApp messaging, analytics and error monitoring for us, acting on our instructions only; where they store data outside Pakistan we choose providers committed to recognised security standards. We may disclose information to law-enforcement agencies, courts or regulators in Pakistan when legally required, or to protect someone from fraud or harm. We never sell personal data and never share your resume with advertisers.
Messages, WhatsApp and email
Account and safety messages (one-time codes, application receipts, interview invitations) are part of the service and stay on while your account is open. Everything else is optional: role alerts, Smart Picks digests and Career Journal newsletters can be switched on or off in My Journey, and every email carries an unsubscribe link. WhatsApp is used only for the notification types you enable; reply STOP to any WhatsApp message to pause them.
How long we hold on
Your profile and resumes stay while your account is active. Applications remain visible to you and the workplace for the life of that vacancy plus twelve months, so both sides have a record. Unused accounts are archived after three years, with an email warning first. Payment records are kept for the period Pakistani tax law requires; server logs are held briefly for security, then rotated out.
Your controls
Most of these live inside My Journey; you do not need to write to anyone.
- Access: your profile, applications and messages are always visible to you.
- Correction: edit any field at any time.
- Download: request an export of your data from Settings.
- Delete: close your account from Settings or the app; we remove your profile and resumes and stop notifications within thirty days, keeping only what the law obliges us to keep.
Workplaces that already received an application keep their copy; ask them directly to delete it.
Eighteen and over
DailyJob.pk is for adults: you must be at least 18 to create an account, in line with the age of majority in Pakistan. Accounts found to belong to anyone younger are closed and their data deleted.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, connections are encrypted, internal access is limited to people who need it, and resumes are served from private storage, not public links. Please do your part: use a strong password, enable two-factor login where offered, and never share one-time codes.
Changes and contact
When this policy changes in a meaningful way we show a notice on the site and in the app before the new version applies. Questions, requests or complaints: support@dailyjob.pk, or by post to DailyJob.pk, Pakistan.
