The Career Feed is full of genuine opportunities, and it is also watched by people who prey on hope. Job scams in Pakistan follow predictable patterns, and once you know them they are easy to spot. Read this page once, keep the one rule in mind, and you will avoid almost all of them.

The one rule

A real employer never asks you for money. Not for registration, not for training, not for a uniform, not for a laptop, not for "security" that will be returned, not for visa processing, not for a medical test at a clinic they choose. If money moves from you to them at any stage, it is not a job. Every workplace on DailyJob.pk has agreed to this rule and we remove those who break it.

Warning signs we see most often

• An offer without an interview. You applied yesterday and today you are "selected" with no call, no test, no questions.
• Salary far above the market for the role and city, especially for data entry, typing, form filling or "online work from home".
• Contact only through WhatsApp from a personal number, with no office landline, no company email domain and no address you can visit.
• Payment requests to a personal mobile wallet or bank account, or a request to buy vouchers or top-up cards.
• Overseas jobs in the Gulf, Europe or East Asia promised by someone who is not a licensed Overseas Employment Promoter, or who asks for the fee before the visa.
• Urgency and pressure: "only two seats left, pay by tonight", or a countdown to a fee deadline.
• Interviews in odd places: a residential flat, a hotel room, a plaza office with no signboard, or late at night.
• Requests for your CNIC copy, bank details, passport scan or one-time codes before any offer exists.
• Grand titles, vague duties. "Manager" roles with no description of what the manager will manage.
• A famous brand name attached to a free webmail address or an unfamiliar website.
• Pyramid language: "bring three friends", "build your team", "investment returns weekly".

How we protect the Career Feed

Workplaces are verified before they can publish: we check business registration, company email domains and, where needed, speak to a listed number. Listings are screened automatically for scam patterns and reviewed by people. Verified workplaces carry a badge; any reader can flag a role from its page, and flags are reviewed within a working day. None of this replaces your own judgement, which is why this page exists.

Before you go to an interview

1. Search the workplace name together with words like "fraud" or "complaint".
2. Call the office landline listed on the workplace profile, not the number in the message, and confirm the interview.
3. Check that the address exists on a map and that the building matches the kind of business claimed.
4. Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back. Prefer daytime interviews.
5. Carry copies of your documents, not originals, and hand nothing over until you have a written offer.

Protecting your documents and data

Your CNIC, bank details and passport can be used to open accounts, take loans and register SIMs in your name. Share them only after a written offer from a workplace you have verified, and only with the HR contact named in that offer. Never share one-time codes; DailyJob.pk staff will never ask for one. Keep your Resume Lab profile free of your full CNIC number and home address; city and phone are enough.

If something has already gone wrong

Stop all contact and stop any further payments. Save every message, receipt and transaction ID. Report the listing or user through our Report Abuse page so that others are protected. File a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency's cybercrime wing and, for lost money, inform your bank or mobile wallet provider immediately; early reports sometimes recover funds. You are not foolish for having been targeted. These schemes are designed by professionals, and telling us helps us shut them down.
